I have just returned from a stay near Valbonne where I had the pleasure of taking some French lessons with Héléne Delbouys. During my week long stay I spent 1.5-2 hours each morning with Hélène speaking French in a café overlooking the beautiful countryside of Valbonne. From the first time that I met Hélène I found her warm and friendly and very easy to talk to. I really like her method of teaching in that she lets you speak, helping where required (only resorting to English if absolutely necessary) and during this time Hélène notes down any new vocabulary or points of grammar and at the end of the lesson she goes through these with you. This means that your concentration is not constantly being broken by interruptions and allows you to retain the things learned in each lesson. Hélène was also happy to discuss subjects that I found helpful or interesting and she prepared the lesson for the next day based on the things that I had mentioned would be useful to cover. If you want a relaxed, interesting and enjoyable way to learn or improve your level of French then I can highly recommend spending some time with Hélène.

If you are considering starting french lessons, then look no further. Helene has been my french tutor, on an individual basis, for nearly 3 years and I would highly recommend her.
She is a wonderful teacher, extremely encouraging, very personable and, above all, the lessons are fun, with a relaxed atmosphere.
I always look forward to my lessons and come away from each one with something new, that I am then able to put into practice in everyday situations.
As a result, I have become aware of how much more I am understanding and speaking, making life in France much easier and more fulfilling.

It is with pleasure that I offer this testimonial for Helen Delbouys, who has taught me French for the past two years. I had taken other classes before at a language school in a group setting, however, I found that Helene's one to one approach works far better for me, as the busy mother of four children.
